The backup quarterback and his underdog team soared into the Super Bowl history book. Nick Foles led the Philadelphia Eagles to a close win over the defending Super Bowl champions, The New England Patriots. With less than two minutes remaining in the game, sports analysts and fans were reluctant to count out the Patriots given quarterback Tom Brady’s uncanny ability to stage a comeback victory. But, the Eagles held on to claim the title, 41-33.

Justin Timberlake brought ‘Sexy Back’ during his halftime performance as well as Prince. The entertainer paid tribute to Prince with a piano rendition of “I Would Die 4 You” as the area around U.S. Bank Stadium glowed purple and an oversized image of the deceased Minneapolis-born superstar fluttered above the grand stage.

In the third quarter of Super Bowl LII, Black America received a commercial shout-out with it in mind. Pras, the Fugees co-founder, rapper, and philanthropist unveiled his upcoming digital platform designed to promote black culture. The advertisement for Pras’ Blacture lasted 30 seconds which is an expensive proposition during the one of the biggest television events of the year. NBC reportedly sold commercial time during the Super Bowl for $5 million per 30 seconds.

The countdown clock on the blacture website indicates 56 days remain until the platform is live.
