Trayvon Martin’s Parents
The national conversation about the killing of 17 year-old Trayvon Martin is less pronounced lately, but the case is far from over. George Zimmerman faces a second-degree murder charge, after gunning down the unarmed teenager in a gated community in Sanford, Florida. Zimmerman claims self-defense. Trayvon’s parents are now urging families around the country to embrace their children, teach personal responsibility, and work together to prevent another tragic loss.
