About Nick Newton
Nick Newton, Senior VP, Global Director of Institutional Marketing
Nick Newton is Senior Vice President of Waddell & Reed Investment Management Company (WRIMCO). As Global Director of Institutional Marketing for Waddell & Reed Asset Management Group, a division of WRIMCO, he is responsible for the strategic direction of the asset management group, client service and consultant relations.
Mr. Newton graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a BS in economics and finance in 1994. He earned an MBA with an emphasis in finance from Washington University’s Olin School of Business in 2003. Prior to joining Waddell & Reed, Mr. Newton was affi liated with United Missouri Bank in Kansas City as a research analyst. He was promoted to portfolio manager for UMB Investment Advisors in 1995.
Mr. Newton joined Waddell & Reed in April 1998 as a representative of Waddell & Reed Asset Management Group, a division of WRIMCO, where he provided marketing and client services for the institutional investor. He was named senior vice president and director of institutional marketing in July 2003.
Mr. Newton is a member of the National Association of Securities Professionals and the Bank Securities Association.
