Farewell to Mrs. Ivory Lambert, One of the World’s Oldest People
There is not a dry eye in Bearden, Arkansas today. The town’s beloved jewel is missing, having passed away overnight. Mrs. Ivory Lambert lived all 113 years of her remarkable life in southern Arkansas.
She married a World War I veteran, gave birth to 4 children, and won hearts the world over with her wisdom. Whether it was on Good Morning, America or the church parking lot, Mrs. Lambert endeared herself to those who met her. Two years ago she talked with TheVillage about her life.
