Jackie Robinson Steals Hearts as a Social Justice Advocate
Jackie Robinson, one of baseball’s most iconic players, is stealing hearts and headlines again with a PBS documentary produced by noted producer Ken Burns.
TheVillageCelebration reviewed Robinson’s contribution to the Civil Rights Movement during its documentary “Extra Innings: The Legacy of the Negro Leagues”. Former Negro Leagues player, Bill McCray, and the Executive Director of the Negro Leagues Museum, Bob Kendrick, talked about Robinson’s impact on America.
