Emanuel AME: A History of Social Justice Uninterrupted By Hate
One of the many remembering Reverend Clemente Pinckney is Reverend Mark Tyler, Pastor of Mother Bethel AME in Philadelphia. Rev. Tyler recalls talking with the late preacher and South Carolina state senator for a documentary tracing the history of their beloved Church. During an interview with TheVillageCelebration, Rev. Tyler described his friend and the deceased members as “martyrs.”
