Comedian Raises Funds for Youth
Comedian Chris Tucker rolled out the red carpet in Atlanta for a celebration of his non-profit foundation. Hundreds gathered at the St. Regis Hotel for an evening designed to evoke the Harlem Renaissance. But, the focus centered on Tucker’s Foundation which is dedicated making a positive impact on youth and families around the world.
Tucker started the foundation in 2006. As the comic known for his work in the “Rush Hour” film series enjoys a career renaissance, he continues to raise awareness of his efforts to lift and support others. The foundation funds a number of local organizations and charities around the world each year.
Using social media, Tucker said “thank you” to those who attended Saturday’s fundraiser. His next charity event is a golf tournament scheduled for August 22.
“It’s Been A Long Time Coming” is the title of Tucker’s latest standup offering. Fans are flocking to Netflix to watch Tucker or a venue near them for a live performance.
