Democrat Chris Jones Gains Momentum In Governor’s Race Against Trump’s Former Press Secretary
The final weeks of the Arkansas gubernatorial race have moved Chris Jones into a closer race against Sarah Huckabee Sanders, former press secretary for Donald Trump.
Jones, the first Black major party nominee for governor, is campaigning on what he calls “PB&J” — his acronym for preschool, broadband and jobs while Sanders’ playbook promotes ideals embraced by her former boss and his supporters.
At one of his many town hall meetings, Jones pushed his plans. TheVillageCelebration caught with him at his childhood church where his mom led the opening prayer.
