George Zimmerman Trial,spirituality
Testimony: Day 5
Seven witnesses took the stand today in the George Zimmerman trial with the most compelling testimony coming from a resident at The Retreat at Twin Lakes. John Good testified that he saw Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman in a fight behind the house. He said the “lighter” skinned person was on the bottom in the scuffle. He also said the person on top was straddling the “lighter” one and using a mixed martial arts technique known as ground – and – pound. Other neighbors have testified that Zimmerman was on top of Martin during the scuffle.
Jurors also heard from the physician’s assistant who examined Zimmerman the day after he shot and killed Martin. Lindzee Folgate said Martin had two lacerations on the back of his head, but he did not exhibit any symptoms consistent with a severe head injury. She testified that he did not require stitches for the head lacerations or his nose which appeared to be broken but she could not say if his nose was broken because she did not x-ray it.
