Colin Powell remembered as a leader who made people feel ‘very comfortable around him’
In the days since his death, Colin Powell has been remembered as a true American patriot. He donated some of his military belongings to the Richard Allen Cultural Center & Museum located in Leavenworth, Kansas, which is home to Fort Leavenworth where Powell attended Command and General Staff College in the late 1960s. There is also a bust of him in a park on the Army base.
