Gunman Kills Three In ‘Racially Motivated’ Attack
A gunman in Jacksonville, Florida, shot and killed three Black shoppers at a Dollar General. The gunman, a white man in his 20s, shot and killed himself. Investigators are still piecing together the details.
“This shooting was racially motivated and he hated Black people,” said Sheriff T.K. Waters.
The shooting happened near Edward Waters University which is a HBCU. Students were told to stay inside their residence halls.
Police say the shooter lives with his parents and had been evaluated in the past for mental health issues.
The gunman reportedly had an AR-15 style rifle and a handgun.
