The owner of the online business, WeBuyBlack, is encouraging African Americans to continue to support Black-owned businesses. The campaign to support Black-owned businesses reached a peak during 2016 following a rash of high-profile police brutality cases. WeBuyBlack Founder, Shareef Abdul-Malik, is still encouraging consumers to use their dollars to impact the economy in a way that positively affects Black America.
